TIP OF THE MONTH: May, 2005

"Electro-mechanical devices, such as PCs and laser printers, that have a CPU controlling functionality, will from time to time lock-up or freeze. When this happens the first thing to try is a reboot, either by turning the device off at the switch or by completely removing power by unplugging the device. Plug the device back in and turn the switch on. If the machine is still malfunctioning, it's time to call for service."
